There will be references to earlier GTA games, but nothing too bad in the spoiler departments. Spoilers for Grand Theft Auto IV, its episodes, and Grand Theft Auto V are all in effect starting now.Well, as always, let's go over the ground rules. Nearly a decade after first releasing on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, people have gone from complaining about the game's tone and physics to citing it as potentially the series' best effort. Not even Grand Theft Auto V, supposedly the series' greatest game, could do that. Why disappointed? There haven't been many games that have been this awesome, this groundbreaking, and this emotionally investing. Somehow, Grand Theft Auto IV came out nearly ten years ago, making me feel old and disappointed. After years in the GTA III era, Rockstar returned to their roots with a series reboot in 2008, bringing players back to Liberty City.
